Do you crave facts about toasters or sharks or jam or cheese? Maybe you love the fact that a ragweed plant can release one billion – yes, BILLION – grains of pollen? If you don’t then I suggest you go and make a cup of tea or fly a kite or something, because you are not going to appreciate this article. It is, quite simply, ALL about facts.

Interesting, really: why do we seek facts? What is it about facts that is more interesting than, say Scrabble (and I can tell you, Scrabble, to my mind at least, in the pinnacle of…Interestingness)? For me, I suppose I’ve always loved facts because it proves just how much most of us don’t know about the world around us. Plus, facts can make even the dullest of things seem really exciting. Feed yourself some facts at lunch-time – not forgetting some food, of course – and you’ll keep going all day pumped-up on how incredible life can be. Just don’t blame me when you get obsessed with all the facts. Checking out that web-site I mentioned is really quite addictive…
